Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Process Technology Group within R&D Central Processing at the Glenview, IL site. You will lead the technical delivery of complex processing initiatives, translating concepts into manufacturable, Right-First-Time solutions through cross-functional collaboration.

This role prioritizes technical rigor and hands-on execution, with mentoring responsibilities and a hybrid work model. Domestic travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in R&D or engineering within consumer goods or similar industries.
• Hands-on experience with pilot lines, scale-up, and industrial production.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize emerging process technologies aligned to business needs.
• Develop scale-up strategies from prototyping to commercialization.
• Deliver end-to-end technical execution across complex projects.
• Produce detailed technical documentation and risk assessments.
• Mentor junior processing engineers and support capability development.
