Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is hiring a Process Engineer in Santa Clara, CA. You will design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies, collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and generate technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on a wide range of complex process engineering experiments for multiple products.
• Utilize techniques to characterize hardware and perform hardware characterization on many complex systems.
• Generate product documentation, presentations, reports, and process engineering specifications.
• Develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects, within safety guidelines.
• Train engineers in measurement techniques of film properties and guide them in data interpretation, new methodologies, troubleshooting techniques and issue resolution.
• Communicate and engage with customers to resolve a broad spectrum of complex process engineering issues, with limited supervision.
• Design and implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers with limited to no supervision.
• Lead functional teams or projects, as needed.
