Job summary

Cambrex High Point site seeks a Chemical Engineer to optimize existing routes and develop new chemistries for API production. The role provides CHP site engineering support, including design, construction, and maintenance of equipment that translates lab processes to pilot and commercial scales.

You will apply analytical tools to assess product quality, collaborate with process development chemists, and contribute to client-facing campaigns while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MS in Chemical Engineering or BS with 3 years' lab experience (pharma preferred).
• Experience with particle engineering, PSD, jet milling, crystallization, and scale-up of pharmaceutical API processes is highly preferred.
• Ability to train others on equipment and perform routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute multistep organic processes.
• Coordinate with process engineers and analytical chemists to optimize manufacturing performance.
• Apply GMP and regulatory considerations to scale-up and documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and batch records.
