Job summary

RSM US LLP in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Senior Associate to join its Process Risk & Controls practice. You will help clients identify, assess, and manage risk through effective processes and internal controls, with exposure to internal audit, SOX, and governance initiatives.

You'll work with client teams, develop testing plans, and contribute to engagement deliverables while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related business discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, internal audit, or related internal control roles.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to travel to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across client organizations.
• Participate in risk assessment interviews and document findings.
• Prepare and perform testing of internal controls and evaluate effectiveness.
• Develop testing plans, work programs, narratives, and flowcharts.
• Identify risks and controls and provide improvement recommendations.
• Review work for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Manage engagement budgets and provide status updates.
