Job summary

Promega Corporation in Madison, WI is seeking a manufacturing engineering leader to identify and execute capital and continuous improvement projects for small molecule API production.

You will serve as the subject matter expert for process and utility systems, drive technology transfer, support qualification activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and continuously improve plant performance while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in small molecule API or related manufacturing environment.
• Advanced technical knowledge of API manufacturing equipment and utility systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with timelines, budgets, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead mid-size projects and report status to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Develop engineering documents, process descriptions, mass balances, and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
• Initiate and execute continuous improvement projects.
• Lead design, configuration and start-up of new manufacturing processes and utility systems, including technology transfer.
• Apply DMAIC, RCFA, FMEA, Fish-Bone, 5 Whys to investigate process equipment issues.
