Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a seasoned Process Piping Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. You will work with process engineers and other disciplines to layout process and utility equipment for food and beverage facilities, develop 2D/3D drawings, and create P&ID-based piping models.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the design team, visiting client sites, and producing bid-ready drawings while supporting DG CAD standards and on-site coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s in engineering preferred.
• 12+ years piping/equipment layout in food & beverage facilities or similar.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD tools (CADWorx/Plant3D/Revit piping).
• Ability to interpret PIDs and create piping layouts from equipment arrangements.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of year to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Layout equipment in 2D/3D for food and beverage facilities.
• Create 3D piping models and piping drawings from PIDs.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical and control teams.
• Prepare general arrangements, elevations, isometrics for bid packages.
• Lead project design coordination and clash detection with Navisworks.
