Job summary

Brightmark is seeking a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Senior Process Operator to safely operate and maintain our plant, interfacing with SCADA, conducting tests, and supporting maintenance activities.

The role requires 4+ years in wastewater or plant environments, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and familiarity with SCADA and CMMS. Strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn anaerobic digestion processes are essential.

Job Summary

The Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Senior Process Operator is responsible for performing activities associated with the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the plant (in compliance with all regulatory permits), a variety of skilled operational tasks throughout the day, which includes interfacing with the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, analytical tests, and technical maintenance work supporting the operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operations, maintenance, and overall activities associated with the facility


• Assist in the anaerobic digestion process by monitoring equipment, gauges, and trending on HMIs and waste treatment processes


• Record and analyze statistical data concerning plant operations ensuring the plant is operating as specified


• Troubleshoot failures and malfunctions to determine the root cause and maintain, operate, repair, and replace equipment as necessary


• Maintain, modify, or repair instrumentation and control equipment, including recorders, flowmeters, and other water-quality monitoring equipment


• Collect samples for testing and reporting and perform lab analysis for process control


• Ensure that plant operates, within required standards


• Monitor performance of electrical systems, circuits, or equipment of the treatment plant


• Maintain a clean and presentable plant environment


• Perform other duties and project work as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• 4+ years in wastewater or plant environment


• Valid Driver’s License


• Basic knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and CMMS familiarity


• Excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written forms


• Able to handle multiple tasks


• Able to work well with others


• Basic understanding of the anaerobic digestion process; willingness to learn process and operating procedures


• Physical requirements include the possibility of standing on feet, for extended periods; requiring stair and ladder climbing, and routinely lifting up to fifty (50) pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves, high-voltage protective equipment, etc.); working with hazardous materials may be required


• Position requires extended work hours and varied shifts, including weekend and holiday work; as required by schedules, workload, and facility conditions; being on "On-Call" status will periodically be required

Salary Description

$35.00-$37.00/hour
