Job summary

Aquatech International is seeking a Process Equipment Selection Engineer to work remotely or relocate to our Canonsburg, PA office. This full-time role requires a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree and 5+ years of experience, with responsibilities spanning equipment sizing, data sheet preparation, and vendor coordination.

You will review specifications, perform pump and instrument sizing, generate datasheets, release documents through SAP, and liaise with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Five (5) or more years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review standard specifications and project-specific customer specifications, noting non-standard requirements.
• Check process calculations & pump capacities for metering and centrifugal pumps.
• Size selections and data sheets for equipment (blowers, pumps, heaters, mixers) and vendor packages.
• Prepare data sheets for instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, analytical).
• Prepare data sheets for control valves (ball, globe, butterfly).
• Prepare datasheets for miscellaneous items (static mixers, solenoid valves, valve manifolds).
• Release documents to Document Control and SAP requisitions.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process Control, Purchasing, and international offices.
• Interact with vendors; evaluate quotes and budgets.
• Clarify shop queries and resolve defects; manage vendor drawings.
• Lead vendor design coordination meetings and communicate externally.
• Meet project deadlines and revise documents per comments.
• Organize vendor evaluations and meetings for equipment suitability.
