Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Chemical/Process Engineer to lead process design efforts for pharmaceutical manufacturing projects in the United States. You will develop PFDs, material and energy balances, P&IDs (AutoCAD), and design utility systems while ensuring cGMP compliance and safety standards.

The role requires at least 10 years in engineering with 5+ years in process design, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years engineering experience with at least 5 in process design; pharma/biotech exp preferred.
• Understanding of cGMP and its implications for design and equipment specs.
• Ability to develop PFDs, material and energy balances, P&IDs, and utility system designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of independent work.
• Willingness to travel 5–20% and work in safety-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop process design deliverables: PFDs, material and energy balances.
• Design utility systems and estimate requirements for new processes.
• Prepare P&IDs (AutoCAD) including CIP/SIP for critical utilities.
• Improve existing facilities and automate where appropriate.
• Specify equipment and instrumentation; prepare performance data sheets.
• Support tools and innovation: process simulators and intelligent P&ID systems.
• Lead process engineering activities within projects and guide the team.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery.
• Contribute to additional engineering assignments as required.
