Job summary

IPS is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical and biotech facilities. You will own process design tasks, work on P&IDs, and ensure cGMP compliance across mature projects, from pilot to commercial scale.

Remote work options are available for this role, with travel up to 20% to client sites as needed; 10+ years engineering and 5+ years in process design are expected, with a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in process design for pharmaceutical/biotech facilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge of cGMPs as they affect process design and equipment specification.

Responsibilities

• Produce conceptual process flow diagrams and mass/energy balances.
• Develop P&IDs including controls strategy and CIP/SIP functions, preferably in AutoCAD.
• Estimate utilities and design distribution systems for new manufacturing processes.
• Support design teams and provide technical oversight on process-related aspects of projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain strong client relationships.
