Job summary

D-Wave New Haven is seeking a Staff Process Engineer to drive the integration of the integrated QPU fabrication process from development to production, in a high-precision, low- to medium-volume setting.

You will operate in both D-Wave and Yale clean room facilities, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with design and measurement teams, and help qualify new tools and processes as the new facility is built in 2026–2027.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-graduate semiconductor or related industry experience.
• MS or Ph.D in electrical engineering, materials science, or related field.
• Experience driving complex fabrication process development and integration.

Responsibilities

• Drive integration of the integrated QPU fabrication process from development to production.
• Design and execute experiments to improve device quality and process fidelity.
• Operate metal deposition systems, electron-beam and optical lithography tools.
• Maintain tools and facilities and qualify new fabrication tools as needed.
• Design in situ metrology regimes to track production and tool health via SPC.
