Job summary

Sedron Technologies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead design and optimization of process systems, turning ideas into high-performing solutions. You will craft PFDs and P&IDs, model processes, and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and startup readiness.

The role requires 10+ years in process/chemical engineering, a Chemical Engineering degree, and strong proficiency in process modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of related professional experience as a process or chemical engineer
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification preferred
• Experience in fertilizer production or related industrial applications
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance for chemical manufacturing
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat/mass transfer
• Proficiency in process modeling software (AspenTech preferred)
• PE license a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute process design activities: PFDs, P&IDs, heat/mass balances, utility summaries, equipment calculations and specs
• Serve as process engineering owner for assigned projects
• Develop, review and refine process models to optimize performance
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and external partners for seamless integration
• Support selection, specification and procurement of process equipment
• Engage with vendors to obtain data and evaluate equipment performance
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Lead value engineering to reduce CapEx and OpEx
• Provide technical support during commissioning and optimization
• Support EHS and operations with SOPs, testing plans and data analysis
• Ensure compliance with regulations and change management processes
• Contribute to process innovation and continuous improvement
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in hiring
• Stay up-to-date with new tech and best practices
• Collaborate with R&D during testing and scale-up
• Perform related duties as assigned
