Job summary

Sedron Technologies in Bellingham or Sedro-Woolley, WA is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead design, optimization, and deployment of circular waste management solutions. You will own process design deliverables, develop PFDs and P&IDs, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and R&D teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation.

This role requires 10+ years in chemical/process engineering, strong modeling skills (AspenTech), regulatory knowledge, and demonstrated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field)
• 10+ years of related professional experience as a process/chemical engineer
• Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred; FE/PE license a plus
• Experience in fertilizer production or waste-to-value processes
• Knowledge of chemical regulations (EPA/OSHA/FDA) and process safety
• Strong proficiency with process modeling tools (AspenTech)

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute process design activities including PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances
• Own process engineering deliverables for assigned projects
• Develop and refine process models to optimize performance
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors for seamless designs
• Support selection and procurement of process equipment
• Conduct risk assessments and support PHAs
• Lead value engineering to reduce CapEx/OpEx
• Provide support during commissioning and operations
• Ensure compliance with regulations and change-management processes
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in hiring
