Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer IV to lead design, development, and execution of process systems for power generation projects, including simple cycle gas turbines, combined cycle plants, and reciprocating engine facilities. This senior technical role provides SME guidance and coordinates across disciplines to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.

You will own process deliverables, mentor junior engineers, review PFDs and P&IDs, and interact with clients,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE license – highly preferred (may be required depending on project).
• 8+ years of relevant experience in process engineering within power generation, chemical, or EPC environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading process engineering scope on complex projects.
• Strong expertise in power generation systems, including gas turbines (combined cycle experience strongly preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of process simulation and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., GT Pro, PIPE-FLO).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant3D / P&ID and engineering design systems.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination and resolve complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering across all project phases from feasibility to commissioning.
• Serve as primary process engineering point of contact for assigned projects.
• Develop and approve process design basis documents and equipment lists.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, and ensure control philosophy and safety systems.
• Coordinate with clients, OEMs, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support project planning, cost estimation, and execution strategy from a process perspective.
• Oversee emissions estimates and air permitting support for gas turbines and boilers.
