Job summary

Sappi in Minnesota is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support for the mill with a focus on Paper Production. You will partner with area production engineers and operations staff to meet productivity, quality, cost and safety goals, and lead projects to optimize chemical and mechanical processes.

Responsibilities include data analysis for quality assurance, handling customer complaints, process improvements, and product development.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong computer skills are required.
• Experience with data analysis to support quality assurance, process improvements and problem solving.
• Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assure and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Provide technical support for the mill with concentration in Paper Production.
• Partner with area production engineers and operating personnel to meet productivity, quality, cost and safety goals.
• Provide engineering solutions through data analysis to support QA, customer complaint evaluations, and process improvements.
