Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC seeks a Senior Process Engineer for the UNF Recycling product line. You will own process design, P&IDs, and chemical/mechanical systems across the pilot facility—from development to fabrication-ready design—and collaborate with R&D and vendors to meet safety and efficiency goals.

You will lead design reviews, write equipment specifications, and support procurement, testing, and regulatory compliance. A hybrid work arrangement is possible with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Experience designing first-of-a-kind systems in a team environment.
• Experience with valves, procurement, and vendor collaboration.
• Experience writing requirements documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own process design of assigned systems: P&IDs, flow diagrams, balances, equipment sizing.
• Prepare and review design packages, specs, test plans, calculations, and drawings.
• Lead or participate in HAZOPs and design reviews; implement actions.
• Work with R&D to translate process tech into fabrication-ready designs.
• Write equipment specifications and coordinate procurement.
• Oversee factory and site acceptance tests and walk-downs.
• Ensure designs reach permit/configuration control for Pilot facility.
