Job summary

DRA Global, an international engineering group, is hiring a Principal Process Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves leading process engineering deliverables and mentoring engineers for successful project execution. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering field, a PE license, and have over 12 years of experience in mineral processing, preferably in an EPCM setting. The position is permanent, requiring regular site travel to Tucson, AZ, with a strong commitment to safety and innovation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ mineral processing/chemical plant operation experience, preferably in an EPCM environment.
• 10+ years in consulting with strong technical knowledge in a multi-functional environment.
• 5+ years demonstrated leadership and management experience in a multinational, cross-functional team.
• Experience with Hudbay projects or similar large-scale mining projects advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and process equipment specifications.
• Drive metallurgical evaluation and peer review of estimates, schedules, proposals, and designs.
• Support and mentor process engineers and designers.
• Provide technical expertise during commissioning, troubleshooting, and operations support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and clients.
• Manage design mark-ups, redlines, and discipline sign-off for engineering deliverables.
• Lead presentations and provide input for business development and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements in all process designs.
