Job summary

Occidental Petroleum Corporation’s OxyChem Deer Park facility seeks a Sr. Process Engineer to lead process improvements at the PVC/KOH plant, designing, justifying, installing and starting up enhancements to boost capacity, reliability and efficiency while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Candidates should hold a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of manufacturing experience, strong MOC/PHAs knowledge, and proficiency in SAP, DeltaV, and process software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in chemical/manufacturing environments; 7+ preferred.
• Strong safety and environmental considerations in engineering design and operability.
• Ability to communicate across a multi-disciplinary team; proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HSE priority for employees, customers, and communities.
• Identify, justify, install, and start-up process improvements to increase capacity and yields.
• Collaborate with Production, Project, Maintenance, and Engineering for capital projects.
• Support operations with troubleshooting, testing, and reporting production status.
