Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a leading food and nutrition manufacturer in the Dayton, OH area. You will lead capital projects, drive process improvements, and apply new technologies across operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to safeguard product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, process improvement, or project management within FDA-regulated environments (food/beverage).
• Experience leading capital projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, process systems, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital improvement projects from concept through startup and validation.
• Provide engineering support for manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production challenges.
• Develop scopes, cost estimates, and justifications for capital expenditures.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and vendors to execute initiatives.
• Support new product introductions, equipment installations, and scale-up activities.
• Develop equipment and process specifications and engineering standards.
• Conduct validation activities and ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Monitor production performance and analyze data for continuous improvement.
• Research and qualify replacement equipment and technologies to improve reliability.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to staff.
