Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support 13CO distillation operations at the Miamisburg, Ohio facility. This on-site role provides engineering leadership for safe, reliable operation and drives process and facility improvement projects.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of gas distillation experience, with on-call troubleshooting and close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Project Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant gas distillation experience.
• Strong engineering principles and gas distillation design knowledge.
• Ability to read and implement policies, codes, standards and regulations.
• Experience with project management, scheduling, and cost control.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and scheduling software.
• Willingness to work on-site and provide on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
• Identify and resolve process and operations challenges.
• Manage projects up to approximately $1 million and coordinate with Project Engineering for larger initiatives.
• Prepare P&IDs, mass/energy balances, and electrical classifications.
• Develop project justifications, scopes, designs, and cost estimates.
• Provide engineering analyses and recommendations to Operations and Management.
• Coordinate QA, contractor services, and material/equipment deliveries.
• Review invoices and ensure correct payments.
• Support closeout activities including startup, validation, and regulatory tasks.
