Job summary

Arkema Inc. in Alsip, Illinois seeks a technical resource to optimize plant operations in a batch emulsion polymerization facility. You will drive OEE improvements, coordinate scale-up activities, and manage recipe/process changes while ensuring HES compliance and cost control.

You will collaborate with local and BU teams to meet production goals, lead troubleshooting, and support incident investigations as part of a safety-focused operations culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience with Delta-V process control and emulsion polymerization preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HES, cost management, and plant reliability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for product quality, plant reliability, and HES performance to assist daily operations.
• Lead site OEE and track/report OEE; analyze data and drive improvements.
• Coordinate Scale-Up activities and act as RIT Plant Coordinator for new product development.
• Maintain and update plant batch operating procedures and DCS recipes; ensure MOC processing.
• Provide in-plant technical support for scale-up and troubleshooting; communicate results to stakeholders.
