Job summary

The role emphasizes maintaining safe, reliable operations while leading DOE studies, establishing standard process windows, and supporting cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in process engineering and manufacturing or complex assemblies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional groups.
• Experience in data analysis (Minitab and/or JMP ideal).
• Engineering Design Software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead experiments to identify key process variables using DOE or other analytical methods.
• Develop standard manufacturing best practices, parameters, process windows, and work instructions that improve the Samtec assembly process.
• Use Six Sigma DMAIC to determine root cause/solutions to process challenges.
• Use statistical methods to conduct process capability studies to ensure process meets requirements.
• Provide guidance to engineering and operations teams to improve the assembly process.
