Job summary

PITCO Engineering seeks a Senior Process Engineer to drive the five-phase automation journey from Analyze to Scale. You will observe plant operations, build digital twins, and validate PLC/HMI logic, influencing KPI-driven outcomes while mentoring juniors. Expect up to 40% travel domestically and occasionally internationally.

The role emphasizes first-principles analysis, on-site assessments, and delivering repeatable SOPs that standardize processes across manufacturers.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Industrial or Manufacturing.
5–8 years in industrial process, automation, or manufacturing engineering.
Hands-on familiarity with Siemens platforms (TIA Portal, Process Simulate, Plant Simulate).
Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI design, and state-machine-based control architecture.
Lean / value stream mapping fluency (Six Sigma is a plus).
Experience running As-Is/To-Be assessments and translating into measurable plans.
Solid grasp of digital twins, virtual commissioning, and discrete-event simulation.
Comfort in client-facing activities: stakeholder interviews, executive presentations, KPI reviews.
Willingness to travel up to 40% (domestic and occasional international).

Responsibilities

Lead engagements through Analyze, Optimize, Simulate, Pilot, Scale.
Analyze on-site As-Is assessments and quantify the current state with real numbers.
Optimize workflows before automation and decide what not to automate.
Build behaviour-accurate digital twins and validate PLC/HMI logic before orders.
Pilot concepts with pre-agreed KPI gates; scale with SOPs.
Lead client communications, mentor junior engineers, and own technical quality.
