Job summary

PITCO Engineering is a fast-growing provider of advanced automation and engineering solutions for manufacturers across the U.S. and abroad. This Junior Controls Engineer role offers substantial exposure to diverse projects and extensive hands-on experience in real-world manufacturing environments.

The position involves frequent travel (domestic and international), regular overtime to meet deadlines, and opportunities to develop technical and troubleshooting skills alongside senior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in controls or robotics.
  • Licensed Electrician with affinity for controls/robotics.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain passport for international travel.
  • Must pass drug screening and background check.
  • No relocation or visa sponsorship available.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, programming, and troubleshooting of controls and automation systems.
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and maintenance of robotic and automated equipment.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on design, integration, and optimization of control systems.
  • Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical tasks in field settings.
  • Document project progress, updates, and technical details for internal and client reporting.

About the Role

We are seeking aJunior Controls Engineerwho is eager to grow in the field of automation and robotics. This role offers significant exposure to diverse projects, extensive hands-on experience, and the opportunity to develop technical and troubleshooting skills in real-world manufacturing environments.

This position requires flexibility and dedication — includingfrequent travel (domestic and international), as well asregular overtimeto meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of controls and automation systems.
