Job summary

Bio-Techne Minneapolis site is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer – Process Technology to strengthen manufacturing capability through improved process robustness and quality. You will act as SME for reagent preparation, liquid handling, mixing, formulation, and filtration, collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years of process-engineering experience in regulated biopharma or related manufacturing; exposure to cell culture/purification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of process-engineering experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical, reagent, or diagnostic manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with liquid-processing unit operations: mixing, formulation, filtration, liquid handling or transfer.
• Experience supporting equipment selection, commissioning, qualification, or troubleshooting.
• Experience within a regulated quality system is preferred.
• Exposure to cell culture or purification processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process-engineering support for prioritized gaps in current manufacturing.
• Assess overall process capability across materials, scale, process parameters, operating methods, sources of variation, and outputs.
• Develop deeper process understanding and recommend improvements that increase robustness, repeatability, quality, and manufacturability.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for reagent preparation, liquid handling, mixing, formulation, and filtration.
• Apply process-engineering principles to mixing scale-up, including equipment selection, operating ranges, and confirmation of expected process performance.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Facilities, and other site functions to resolve technical gaps and implement sustainable improvements.
