Job summary

Chobani is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join the process engineering team at our New Berlin, NY facility. You will contribute to the design and startup of dairy processing operations and support ongoing production with technical expertise.

The role requires strong knowledge of dairy processing equipment and project lifecycles, with collaboration across departments to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant solutions. Occasional travel to vendors and other sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred, other engineering degrees considered.
• 7–10 years of experience in a F&B process engineering role, preferably in Dairy.
• Experience in dairy, beverage and/or aseptic processing equipment.
• Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contract & schedule.
• May be required to work in a site environment with heavy equipment, smoke, dust and noise.

Responsibilities

• Risk Management: identify and mitigate risks for process engineering projects.

Chobani continues to grow rapidly as we expand production capacity, introduce new product platforms, and invest in world-class food manufacturing technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineers who will be part of the process engineering team responsible for the design of the dairy processing portion of our New Berlin, NY plant. These roles require a deep understanding of dairy processing unit operations, equipment, dairy manufacturing technologies, etc. Experience in both design as well as start-up and operational support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process Design and Development: Part of the team of process engineers designing the dairy processing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Capital project managers, Operations, Quality, etc to ensure seamless integration of process engineering solutions
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with process engineering projects, ensuring safety and reliability
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process designs, specifications, and project progress
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
• Travel: Occasional travel to equipment vendors and other Chobani sites

To Be Successful You Should Possess

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred, other engineering degrees considered
• 7-10 years of experience in a F&B process engineering role, preferably in Dairy
• Experience in dairy, beverage and/or aseptic processing equipment
• Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contract & schedule
• May be required to work in a site environment in the presence of heavy equipment, smoke, dust and noise
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD
