Employment Type: Full-Time Contract

Work Arrangement: Full-Time Onsite

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support manufacturing process improvement, equipment development, and production optimization within an R&D and manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with production leadership to evaluate existing processes, develop and test mechanical equipment and process improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement upgrades that improve reliability, quality, safety, and production performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive process engineering experience with a strong background in manufacturing equipment, process optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering & Optimization
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, quality, and production rates
  • Develop and test mechanical components, equipment, and machinery used within production lines
  • Design, test, and implement process upgrades and new process systems
  • Perform process simulations and troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues
  • Develop process improvements focused on reducing costs and improving production performance
  • Monitor upgraded systems and evaluate ongoing process performance
Manufacturing & Equipment Support
  • Partner with production managers to assess plant processes and operational requirements
  • Diagnose material loss events and implement corrective actions within the manufacturing process
  • Define, own, and maintain process requirements for key production lines
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process performance issues
  • Support implementation and startup of new or upgraded manufacturing systems
  • Develop routines and best practices that support consistent product quality
Validation, Safety & Quality
  • Perform IQ/OQ/PQ testing for process and equipment changes
  • Conduct process risk assessments and identify appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety and quality standards
  • Validate process upgrades and new systems prior to full implementation
  • Support continuous improvement of process reliability and product quality
Documentation & Standardization
  • Develop standardized operating instructions for new and upgraded processes
  • Create process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation for manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Provide process documentation and operating procedures to product and production leadership
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering experience
  • Strong experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • Experience developing, testing, and implementing manufacturing process improvements
  • Experience with mechanical equipment, machinery, and production line systems
  • Strong process troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Experience identifying and correcting material loss or production performance issues
  • Experience conducting process risk assessments
  • Experience with equipment or process validation, including IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Experience developing SOPs, operating instructions, and technical process documentation
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing safety and quality requirements
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting R&D, pilot-scale, or manufacturing process development
  • Experience with production line equipment development and optimization
  • Experience implementing new manufacturing equipment or process systems
  • Continuous improvement and cost reduction experienceExperience supporting equipment startup, qualification, and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Strong cross-functional experience working with production, product, quality, and engineering teams
