Job summary
Amgen Inc. is seeking a Process Development Senior Scientist to define quality attributes and advance analytical methods for protein therapeutics.
You will develop LC-MS/MS based workflows, characterize modifications such as glycosylation and oxidation, and optimize chromatography/electrophoresis strategies within a collaborative analytical group. You will communicate complex concepts, maintain accurate records, and drive studies to meet deadlines while contributing to patents and publications
Qualifications
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry with mass spectrometry focus.
- 2+ years post-PhD in pharma/biotech process & product analytical development.
- Experience peptide mapping and LC-MS identification/quantification of mods.
- Experience with Thermo Q-Exactive, Agilent and Waters platforms.
Responsibilities
- Define favorable quality attributes and optimize analytical tools for development.
- Develop and apply sample prep and analytical methods for proteins/molecules (LC-MS/MS).
- Assess quality attributes and chemical modifications in proteins.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate results clearly.
- Maintain electronic lab notebooks and contribute to patents/publications.
