Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA or Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead technical reports, risk assessments, and regulatory documents during technology transfer and commercialization. You will design and optimize bench and pilot-scale processes, develop models for kinetics and mass transfer, and ensure safe scale-up with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required.
• Master’s degree with engineering experience (2+ years) or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of engineering experience.
• Associate’s degree with 8 years of engineering experience.
• High school diploma / GED with 10 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Author technical reports, lead risk assessments, and contribute to regulatory documents.
• Design, optimize, and deploy process models for kinetics, mass transfer, separations, distillations, isolations, drying, and hydrodynamics.
• Represent department in multi-functional teams to meet tech transfer timelines and milestones.
• Provide on-the-floor support to ensure successful scale-up and rapid problem solving.
• Lead or participate in process risk analyses and tech transfer documentation.
