SpaceX in Texas seeks a Sr. Process Controls Engineer for the Solar Cell Factory (Starlink). You will design, build, and optimize controls and automation for critical gas and chemical handling in solar cell fabrication, with emphasis on safety and high-volume manufacturing.

You will lead commissioning, FAT/SAT, and troubleshooting, developing PLC logic, PID loops, interlocks, and monitoring key process variables while complying with safety standards and electrical regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or chemical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with fluids/systems manufacturing, controls and automation, and/or programming.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing controls for high-volume manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain automation systems including PLC programming and SCADA development for gas farm operations and wastewater treatment.
• Develop and program PLC control logic, PID loops, and interlocks for centralized control of distributed subsystems.
• Select, calibrate, and integrate field instrumentation in hazardous environments, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Lead commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and troubleshooting of control systems with root-cause analysis.
• Design electrical systems compliant with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A regulations.
