Job summary
Port Townsend Paper Company in Port Townsend, WA seeks a Process Control Manager to lead the Process Control department, directing strategy, standards, and investment in plant control systems. You will oversee DCS/PLC reliability, security, and performance while guiding projects, budgets, and technology upgrades for safe, efficient operations.
The role requires a strong background in pulp and paper process control, up-to-date automation knowledge, and leadership to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Five years of progressive work in process control, automation, engineering, or related field in industrial settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical/electrical/control/automation engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to lead technical projects and supervise technical personnel.
- Strong knowledge of process control principles and control system architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide direction for the Process Control department, setting priorities and standards.
- Develop and maintain the mill’s process control strategy, architecture, and long-term technology planning.
- Coach and develop Process Control personnel and assign work with clear priorities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT/OT to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
