Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; technical certifications in instrumentation or electrical disciplines are acceptable with relevant field experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in control systems implementation in upstream or midstream oil and gas processing environments.
• Hands-on experience with Wonderware Intouch HMI and Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC development.
• Strong programming skills and ability to work independently, making informed decisions without undue influence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support process control systems for refinery and pipeline operations.
• Provide engineering and technical support for control systems, including troubleshooting and optimization.
• Offer guidance on project scope, system configuration, and cost estimating for control system implementations.
• Collaborate with local operations teams to ensure control systems meet operational needs and safety standards.
• Develop and update documentation aligned with industry standards for control system configuration, safety, and loop tuning.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC and HMI platforms, with experience in Wonderware Intouch and Allen Bradley Control Logix.
• Support control system testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Assist in the development of application programs for control systems while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Maintain safety protocols, including safety system configurations and proper instrumentation practices.
