Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Sr. Process Control Specialist to lead engineering design, gear up equipment orders, and coordinate capital projects to meet scope, cost and schedule. You will support maintenance to achieve cost and production goals in a plant setting.

Responsibilities include designing control systems, coordinating vendors, inspecting equipment, and preparing contracts and bid analyses while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering/electronics or equivalent technical experience.
• 8+ years of engineering design experience.
• Chemical or petrochemical plant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project general plan with budget and approvals.
• Provide conceptual and detailed designs for instrumentation and control systems.
• Coordinate procurement, expediting, and material receiving.
• Inspect new equipment for quality and conformance to specs.
• Prepare work descriptions and drafts for engineering contracts.
