Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in process industry.
• Experience with electronics, electrical, instrumentation.
• 5+ years of experience with DCS in chemical processing.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional influence across a broad organization.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide process control engineering support to operations, developing guidelines to ensure safe operation and risk management.
• Manage DCS commissioning activities including loop checks.
• Administer Enterprise Historian (OSI PI).
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (HAZOPs, What Ifs).
• Adhere to Management of Change (MOC) processes; review proposals and implement changes.
• Own and complete MOC action items and ensure timely investigations when incidents occur.
• Perform I/O and SIS functional checks and review plant safety loops and interlocks.
• Implement control strategies in DeltaV, Rockwell PLCs, and HMI systems.
• Support project engineering in planning and installing new equipment and control systems.
• Develop control modifications to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Maintain DCS graphics and lifecycle management; plan replacements as needed.
• Collaborate with site IT for reliable network infrastructure and data history.
• Provide on-call support for DCS/PLC systems.
• Ensure adherence to site safety and environmental rules.
• Follow structured workflows across operations, maintenance, and projects.
• Develop procedures involving process controls engineering such as configurations and graphics.
