Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ seeks highly motivated chemists to design and develop scalable manufacturing routes for clinical supply and multi-modality drug substances. You will drive process demonstrations and tech transfers, collaborating across teams to optimize reaction conditions and ensure reproducibility.

PhD in Organic Chemistry by 2027 and strong communication skills are required to contribute to publications, presentations, and innovative solutions in a fast-paced research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry by June 2027 with expertise in methodology/catalysis, total synthesis or flow chemistry.
• Demonstrated outstanding research record and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Act as an expert in the laboratory, executing program and chemistry strategy.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex chemistry problems across multiple projects and modalities.
• Design and develop efficient processes for clinical campaigns with scalable, reproducible routes.
