Job summary

The candidate should possess a PhD in Organic Chemistry (or near completion) and strong communication skills to work with multi‑disciplinary teams in a demanding research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry (or within 9 months of completing PhD).
• No industrial experience required.
• Knowledge of modern synthetic methodology, including asymmetric synthesis, green chemistry, catalysis and physical organic chemistry.
• Ability to employ analytical tools, computational and statistical methodology, and automated laboratory technologies to enhance process development efficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to influence others, and knowledge of drug development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop robust synthetic routes for drug candidates, including traditional small‑molecules, peptides, lipids, and other complex modalities.
• Collaborate with Analytical R&D and engineering to translate routes into scalable processes.
• Interpret analytical data to drive synthetic plans and document information in electronic notebooks.
• Develop and apply new scientific skills and contribute to technical transfer documents for manufacture.
• Support safety, regulatory requirements, and cross‑functional CRD initiatives.
