Job summary
Westlake in the Lake Charles area seeks an experienced Manager in Process Automation to lead the automation group servicing Lake Charles Petro Facilities. You will ensure maintenance and application of automation tech to sustain and improve plant processes and communication systems.
Responsibilities include supervising process automation personnel, overseeing SIS program compliance with IEC standards, developing capital upgrades, and leading digitalization initiatives with Industry 4.0
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred with 10+ years in industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of process control systems and SIS compliance.
- Experience with BPCS/DeltaV/Triconex safety systems and major vendors.
- Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign work to process automation personnel.
- Oversee training and evaluate proficiencies of automation staff.
- Lead capital upgrades for automation and safety systems hardware/software.
- Ensure SIS program compliance with IEC 61511/ISA 84 standards.
- Coordinate automation standards and security policy adherence.
- Deliver on-time, on-budget tasks and projects with resources.
- Develop digitalization strategy using Industry 4.0 tech to boost performance.
- Provide monthly SIS KPI reports to relevant departments.
