Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, is seeking a Principal Procedure System Specialist to support Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining an integrated procedure management system across DOE-order compliance.

The position requires U.S. citizenship, DOE Q-level clearance eligibility, and 5–8 years of relevant experience, with emphasis on policy control, safety, and site-wide procedure improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the IPMS for SRS procedures and DOE Order compliance.
• Develop programs for policy and procedure design, use, and control.
• Make safety a primary responsibility in each task and stop unsafe work.
• Provide guidance to M&O procedure organizations on IPMS aspects.
• Maintain company-level policy and procedure content and approvals.
• Coordinate production and issuance of company-level policies.
• Support site-wide IPMS improvements and participate in the Procedure Management Steering Committee.
• Conduct field evaluation reviews across SRS and the DOE complex to identify improvements.
• Lead site procedure improvement initiatives (SCD-1, SCD-2, Procedure Writing Handbook).
• Mentor less-senior department members.
