Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Procedural Registered Nurse II for the Cardiac Cath Lab to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include setup for intra-aortic balloon pump support and hemodynamic monitoring, with opportunities to mentor staff in complex care.

The role requires five years in a cath lab, RN licensure in NC or a compact state, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Day shift, onsite, 40 hours weekly at Pardee UNC Health Care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact state by first date of clinical care.
• Five (5) years of experience in a cath lab as an RN, including circulator and monitoring roles.
• Experience caring for STEMI patients with or without cardiogenic shock.
• BLS certification by first date of clinical care.
• ACLS certification by first date of clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under physician direction and initiates intra-aortic balloon pump support.
• Pursues expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the care team and performs moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, pacing, cardioversion/defibrillation, and drips.
