Job summary

Slate is seeking an experienced Problem Solver with Master Black Belt credentials to lead robust design and manufacturing problem-solving efforts in the USA. You will guide teams across Engineering, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and Warranty to root causes and implement innovative solutions, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 10–15+ years in automotive engineering or product quality, strong knowledge of NHTSA FMVSS and CAE methods, and a proven track record of

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Vehicle, or related Engineering.
Black Belt or Master Black Belt in Six Sigma (IDDOV/DMAIC) preferred.
10–15+ years in automotive engineering or product quality with problem-solving focus.

Responsibilities

Lead and coach teams in the resolution of problems using Six Sigma and DFSS methodologies.
Lead workshops with cross-functional teams on root cause and solution development.
Influence outcomes through people skills and data-driven decision making.
Capture lessons learned in DFMEAs and DVPs.
Define and improve processes to eliminate waste using Lean tools.
