Job summary

The State of Florida Department of Corrections seeks a CORRECTIONAL PROBATION SENIOR OFFICER in Starke, Florida. This role supervises a specialized caseload of youthful offenders and other categories, guiding compliance with supervision orders and coordinating treatment options.

Responsibilities include field and office supervision, offender risk assessment, reporting, and collaboration with judiciary and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and/or under stressful conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• All employees shall possess a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment per applicable Florida Statutes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, surveils and maintains a specialized caseload of offenders.
• Conducts field and office supervision visits to ensure compliance and provide assistance.
• Develops and implements structured treatment programs and monitors progress.
• Maintains case records and uses information management systems for offender payment plans and progress.
• Develops partnerships with local law enforcement to foster public safety.
• May act as day-to-day training officer for correctional probation officers.
