Job summary

G MASS is seeking a senior Private Markets Operations professional to support the lifecycle management of private debt and private equity investments. The role is hands-on within an established alternatives platform, requiring autonomy from day one and a background in a bank or investment manager.

You will oversee end-to-end lifecycle events, asset onboarding, and lifecycle accounting while driving process improvements in a live deal environment.

Qualifications

• Senior-level private markets operations experience required; hands-on contributor who can operate autonomously from day one.
• Experience supporting private debt and private equity lifecycle events within an alternatives platform.
• Background in banks or investment managers with exposure to deal execution and asset onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operational lifecycle of private debt and private equity investments, including deal facilitation, settlement, income processing, and cash controls.
• Support transaction execution and asset onboarding: asset setup, ticketing, settlement confirmation, and documentation/vaulting.
• Oversee loan lifecycle events: drawdowns, repayments, interest calculations, restructurings, amendments, covenant activity.
• Perform lifecycle accounting: P&I, fees, expenses, capital activity (contributions/distributions).
• Conduct reconciliations, exception management, and investigation of breaks across complex structures.
• Partner with front office, legal, finance, and compliance to ensure accurate execution and strong operational control.
• Drive process improvements: identify inefficiencies and enhance workflows across the platform.
• Proven experience within a private markets/alternatives operations environment (private debt and/or private equity).
• Strong understanding of loan-based instruments and private market transaction mechanics.
• Solid grasp of lifecycle accounting across private assets (P&I, fees, capital movements).
• Familiarity with fund and SPV structures and how capital is deployed across these vehicles.
• Experience operating in a controlled, high-accuracy environment managing complex transaction flows.
• Ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple priorities in live deal environments.
• Track record of implementing process improvements.
• Systems literacy: experience with WSO, G-Treasury, or similar; SQL proficiency is advantageous.
