The CFA Institute in New York seeks a senior business development and origination professional to join its Financial Institutions coverage team. You will source and execute capital solutions for banks, fintech lenders, credit unions, and other institutional counterparties.

In this externally facing role you will lead relationship development, structure transactions, and collaborate with investment teams to deliver tailored credit solutions across consumer and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in private credit or related sectors.
• Proven track record originating and executing transactions with financial institutions.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA/CFA is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain relationships with banks, specialty finance companies, credit unions, non-bank lenders, and other financial institutions.
• Source, originate, and execute investment opportunities across consumer, residential, commercial, and specialty finance sectors.
• Develop customized financing and capital solutions addressing clients' balance sheet objectives, liquidity needs, and growth.
• Drive new business development through targeted market coverage and relationship expansion.
• Collaborate with investment teams, capital markets, and senior leadership to evaluate and structure transactions.
• Manage opportunities from sourcing to closing, including due diligence and negotiations.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospective transactions and strategic partnerships.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events.
• Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and sector trends to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations and investment-related materials for executive audiences.
• Work across legal, finance, risk, and operations to enable successful execution.
