Qualifications

• Manages ORD privacy program supporting research involving VA information and external partners.
• Provides consultation on ORD privacy requirements, records control, and information sharing.
• Develops ORD information privacy and records retention policies; coordinates policy reviews through agency processes.
• Leads privacy-related reviews for protocols under VA Central IRB and post-approval monitoring.
• Develops and delivers training for VA researchers, extramural partners, and stakeholders on privacy laws and policies.
• Evaluates information systems and data sharing for confidentiality protections and safeguards.
• Establishes performance expectations and conducts staff performance evaluations; coordinates staff development.
• Performs administrative functions: staffing, recruitment, compensation analyses, EEO compliance, and position classification.
