Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking a compliance professional to strengthen its privacy program in a hybrid Brooklyn, OH setting. You will investigate privacy issues, guide HIPAA and breach notification matters, and coordinate with departments to implement remediation and reporting for state and federal agencies.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in compliance, and preferred certifications (CCEP/CHC). Strong MS Office, data analysis, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• JD or Master’s in business or health administration preferred.
• 5+ years experience in compliance or related field.
• Compliance certification (CCEP or CHC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves privacy and compliance concerns; documents findings and corrective actions.
• Serves as SME on HIPAA Privacy Rule and Breach Notification Rule; guides compliance and regulatory matters.
• Conducts internal risk reviews; collaborates with departments for effective mitigation and response.
• Supports external audits and prepares reporting for governance committees.
• Executes daily operations of the compliance department; trains team members.
• Leads process improvements in data collection and reporting.
