Capital One seeks a Compliance Privacy Director to lead the Privacy Compliance team for the Auto business, ensuring adherence to federal and state privacy laws. You will provide expert risk and compliance guidance to lines of business and drive remediation when needed.

You will analyze initiatives, balance risk, and maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge while collaborating across the department to deliver strategic privacy risk management and governance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 8 years of privacy, compliance, risk management, legal or audit experience.
• Preferred: Juris Doctor or Master’s degree; professional certifications such as CIPP, CRP or CRCM.

• Analyze business initiatives to determine compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
• Exercise sound judgment to balance risk when advising the business.
• Maintain expert knowledge of applicable laws and keep the business informed of developments.
• Interact with partners to influence processes, procedures and controls.
• Assess remediation of findings and consumer complaints.
• Engage with other subject matter experts and testing team members.
• Identify trends in compliance data and advise on risks.
• Ensure the team meets expectations under the compliance management program.
