Delta Dental of New Jersey & Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Compliance Counsel to provide strategic legal and privacy guidance on HIPAA, consumer privacy, AI, and related health plan regulations. The role supports policy development, monitoring, reporting, and incident response across a small, collaborative team.

The position requires JD and NJ bar admission, with a focus on BAAs and privacy risk management.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with HIPAA/privacy/data protection and information security requirements.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating BAAs and other contracts, including privacy terms.
• Knowledge of emerging issues in privacy, AI, and cybersecurity; strong analytical skills.

Aufgaben

• Serve as primary contact for HIPAA/privacy compliance; advise on questions and incidents.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide practical guidance to stakeholders.
• Draft and update privacy/compliance policies and training materials; coordinate HIPAA Security activities.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and business teams to embed privacy practices in operations.
