Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Printing Operations Manager in Illinois to plan, direct, and optimize manufacturing at the plant level. You will lead the printing production, balance quality with cost, and ensure adherence to safety and productivity targets.

You will develop policies, coordinate cross-department initiatives, and manage personnel to drive continuous improvement in quality and throughput, with a track record of results in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5-7 years of management/leadership experience in the web offset printing industry or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Results driven individual with goals of advancing within the organization.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Foresight, creativity, sense of urgency, and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and manages the printing operation to achieve operating goals and objectives consistent with Plant and Division objectives
• Directs the printing production of all items at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications in terms of quality and quantity
• Develops, recommends, and implements operating policies and ensures the application of such policies
• Coordinates and collaborates with all departments of the plant in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
• Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance
• Provides leadership directed at continuous improvement in safety, quality / customer satisfaction, and productivity
• Provides leadership and direction to production management and employees to continuously improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput
