Job summary

ALOM Technologies in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Print Purchasing Buyer to keep our 3PL operations stocked with packaging, hardware, printed materials, and media duplication. You will source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and issue purchase orders that meet client needs while working closely with warehouse, kitting, and fulfillment teams.

You will drive procurement strategy, qualify vendors, optimize supplier usage, and manage quotes and print orders to ensure on-time, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Print purchasing practices, terminology, and processes.
• Strong supplier management and negotiating skills.
• Interpersonal skills with clients and suppliers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work cross-functionally under deadlines.
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and Excel.
• 3–5 years of print buying experience in printing.

Responsibilities

• Drive print procurement strategy from vendor qualification to delivery.
• Optimize supplier utilization based on capabilities and quality.
• Project manage quote requests and ensure accuracy.
• Project manage print orders, timelines, and artwork issues.
• Advise customers to improve quality, cost, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with Quality, Account Management, and suppliers; maintain ethical relationships.
