Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Administrator for an onsite role stationed at Edwards AFB, CA.

You will provide real-time support for multi-user ground systems, manage accounts, and coordinate with partners to resolve data movement issues in a high-security environment. You will work with engineers and on-site personnel to test, maintain, and integrate communications equipment for flight operations, with after-hours coverage and potential for advanced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years of experience.
• Ability to be granted and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance; TOP SECRET possible.
• The ability to obtain SAP within program/customer requirements.
• Current CompTIA Security Plus (or higher) certification.
• Experience with HP 3PAR.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Preferred: remote cloud architecture; Air Force flightline experience; active SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance; SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Provide real time support for ground systems multi-user computer systems supporting flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Configure user, administrator, and service accounts.
• Resolve technical and data movement issues between Ground Systems and external systems.
• Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in a military environment.
• Follow checklists and procedures, proposing improvements when needed.
• Support on-site end user systems administration 24/5.
• Provide system administration feedback to Responsible Engineers.
• Communicate complex technical issues to local support, MOBs, and REs.
• Assist with trend analysis for REs.
• Review supplier design data and define test requirements for acceptance and integration.
• Take responsibility for testing, maintenance, and integration of comms equipment for ground/flight ops.
• Collaborate with system admins and onsite personnel to troubleshoot issues.
